Clos Riant farm is situated in the heart of the Yarra Valley, where we began planting lemon trees in 1997. Our first lime trees followed three years later, and today we have over three thousand lemon and limes trees located on the estate.
We supply lemons and limes to restaurants, hotels and gourmet food producers throughout the Yarra Valley and the Pakenham-Berwick area. We do all the picking and packing ourselves, allowing us to keep down costs and to maintain extremely high quality produce. We specialise in personalised service to our customers, with Walter himself doing most of the deliveries to our customers in person.
In addition to our citrus trees, we also planted our first sauvignon blanc vines in 2004 and have been producing our delicious 'Clos Riant' wine ever since. Our wine maker is Timo Mayer, famous in the industry for his outstanding wines.
So please take a look around at all we have to offer, and we hope to hear from you soon. If you would like any further information, or to order any of our produce or wine, please visit our Contact Us page.
Clos Riant Farm
We bought the property in 1983, built the house and moved in mid-1985. It is named after a beautiful village in Switzerland where Walter spent happy years at school as a youngster. Our farm was part of a much larger property owned by the Miller family, which was divided into seven properties in the late 1970s.
Today, these seven properties consist of; three vineyards, two produce growers and two livestock farms. We enjoy a close friendship with all our neighbours, often swapping machinery, lending man-power and enjoying the fruits of our labour!
